				Importing folders containing series collection

			Good day to all,

My comics collection is organised per folders, usually with the following structure: .../Series Title/Series Number - Album Title.format The best way to import them to Calibre with their proper fields being recognized has been to rename them as Series Title - Series Number - Album Title.format and then tweak the Regular Expression Pattern accordingly. Is there any way to achieve the same result in a less manual intensive technique? Thanks in advance for your experience, |

The only other way I can think of is the use the GetFileName plugin. This can put the file path into a custom column. You could then use the bulk search and replace to set the other columns from this.

Calibres Add from folder template does can NOT pull path info to populate additional fields.

The GetFileName PI is a possible work around. It populates a custom column with the path. There is still a lot of work using that method. You could also do things in Series sized batches, (manually) Adding the Series NAME info after each Add cycle ![]() I think I would import the Title as 'Series Number - Album Title' then use a Bulk metadata edit: S&R (tab) REGEX to correct the Index |
