Pointer in screen mode
Hi all,
Despite having my Boox Max 2 for quite some time, I only tried to use it as an external display recently, and noticed that in this mode, I cannot use the stylus as an additional pointer (mouse). Is there any way that this might be possible? I suppose not, but who knows... I am looking for a way to use a tablet on which I can write with a stylus - this is to make videos for teaching. A colleague showed me how to do this with a Wacom tablet, but you need a cable connection so that the stylus is recognized by the PC. I thought maybe there was a way I could use my Boox for similar purposes... but no luck apparently. |

This was discussed here some years ago, and I think the answer was that it can be done, but not via the Monitor app. You will have to set up a VNC connection over USB. Quite a few people found that bVNC worked particularly well. I think this is the thread with the details:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...18#post3784118 EDIT: After posting, I remembered that user mdp had created a modified monitor app which, together with a Python script run on the desktop, did in fact let you use the touchscreen and stylus. See: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...18#post3674318 I'm not sure if it works with the current firmware, but there's no reason why it shouldn't.
