Everybody hum along to Elton John's Great Seal:

So tell me, Great Seal,
How does it feel
To be so wise?
Te-ell me, Great Se-e-eal.

Ravenne: OK, right now, the Great Seal looks like a roaming circus act. It needs to be caged up in a box, a golden border, if you will. Sort of like a national crest or coat of arms.

AmEx called. I told them the check is in the mail. That oughta hold 'em off for a while, betcha nobody ever thought of that before.

RE: Bestiary/Zoo
Let's call it a zoo. We can claim tax exempt status, get some grant money for "research," and charge admission. Rickey can take care of the angry, abused, sick, discarded, 3-legged animals with chest colds. Krisk can play with the cuddly ones. And they can share in the care of the mythological beasties breeding program. (We will make a fortune selling breeding pairs of wyverns and gryphons!)

Clever how Red is drawing a paycheck, but Sir has to cash them. My dad did that once with his dog. He was retired and limited in how much he could earn without impacting his pension. So he was a security guard with a german shepherd. His paychecks were made out to the dog, but he had to cash them for it.

You have such wonderful ideas! Don'[t forget the Unicorns. My granddaughter wants a rainbow one

I applied for a position and DG turned me down so rather than be the entire (or 50%) of the tax base I moved outside the country to my country house. Nice place, low taxes.

It does have great defenses and could hold off a large invasion, not that MR could even mount one large enough. Rather than overtax the people here we have Krispy Kreame Donut stores, a brewery, a distillery, and a drug manufacturing plant. It is amazing how much of the stimulus money from MR has already flowed in to this area. From the published reports, it seems that we have already gotten over two-thirds of it.

This means that we can afford the finest defensive hardware -- not that we would need much against your sling-shots, hula-hoops, and frisbee throwers. We just completed our new digital television station and satellite relay system so if you can find the funds we will be happy to sell you some bandwidth to replace your 56k dial-up Internet service that the palace is currently using. (Yes, we have spies there too.)

This week's special is a dozen glazed for $2.50. Cash only. No IOUs or credit.

What??? Wait.

I did so NOT turn you down for anything!

As a matter of fact, we've just had an opening for a "procurement officer"

Interested?

"Hello, Bank? I would like to place a stop pay flag on my acct, check #0001, made to the order of Wood. Yes, I'll hold...."

[hums along with elevator music]

".... Yes, I'll gladly sign an affadavit ascertaining that the check was stolen. Thank you."

Wood, they told me to tell you to go home and not try to flee until they get there. I'm hoping AM will send some "peacekeepers" along to protect you and make sure you are safe in your house arrest situation. I meant, "safe in your home."

Of course I'll send some, um, peacekeepers. They may take along their pet squirrels, too, just to make things more... peaceful. Please don't be alarmed by all the hardware they may be carrying, it's for everyone's(*) safety

(*Everyone in this instance is everyone with a position in Mobilita Republica. Anyone else takes their chances )

An invisible guinea pig?? That's just silly. Gibbons are well known for their powers of invisibility, but guinea pigs?? Never!!

I can arrange the travel if you'd like? Just take a seat here, and make sure you stash all your personal belongings in the cargo bay. I know it looks like it's not attached to the SuperSpeedyTransporter(*), but that's because it was designed to be like that. We will take good care of your belongings whilst you are in transit.

(*Please note, the SuperSpeedyTransporter is still in beta testing, and range and accuracy may vary)

Where's the hostilities? Why didn't someone tell me there was hostilities? I should be dealing with them instead of doing peacekeeping missions and arranging travel!
