Formatting an eBook - Left justify or Justified

How do you read a paragraph in one go? How do you do this with really long paragraphs?

Very simple:
two columns, reverse landscape.
First the left block, then the right one.

When you start reading, you learn the pictures of letters and start recognizing words by looking letter by letter.
You know the pictures of words later.
And the more you are in training, the pictures of combinations of words. And the more you practice, the bigger the pictures you can capture.

You read the first page and the last page and just know all the rest of the pages based on the first and last pages. Tha's how you read eBook these days.

I read this way when I was a child; the first page, then the last and if it ended badly I didn't read the book.

Given ottischwenk's reading method, you never have to read other then the first and last page as you can figure out the rest of the book from reading just those two pages.

P.S. I have myopia, astigmatism which is hard to adjust for, and visual processing issues, which may affect this.

It sounds like the bar for badness is quite high for you. I can easily switch between fully justified and ragged right with the Forma and with it fully justified the spacing was very obviously off.

I agree that fully justified does look nicer. But it's purely an aesthetic quality. I'm amused that people are more sensitive to an aesthetic quality rather than a functional one where the spacing between words is inconsistent, irregular, and bumpy.

With proper hyphenation, the spacing is not going to be as bad when fully justified.
