Help - Calibre software showing little birds for fonts
Hi all, I recently downloaded the calibre software on my windows 10 computer. However, it's showing me fonts that look like little birds - I have no way of navigating the software. How do I change it into something that looks right?

I've downloaded the latest version (4.18 at this time) and previous versions, but nothing works. I'm moving over from a Mac and it works fine on my Mac. Please help!

Don't know if this helps at all, but maybe you are using a bad font. To change it do the following:

Open the calibre settings with Ctr+P

Go to the "look & feel" part (icon looks like a brush)

Click image for larger version Name: Calibre_Font.png Views: 166 Size: 83.0 KB ID: 179760

Change the font. If you can't read the labels, try to find them by comparing them to the screen shot.

The status line is OK, but it looks like it might be bold.

And why version 4.1? In calibre time that's pretty old - Oct 2019.

That looks like you have somehow changed the interface font to the calibre ratings font. Either change it back following the screenshot Sunlite posted or delete the calibre config file to reset it.
