Isn't it weird that Steel Beach's cover is a very bad scan of the paperback? What's up with that? It looks terrible. Even on Penguin's own site this is the official cover.

This Alien Shore, by CS Friedman, is on sale at Amazon for $1.99.

I don't think I've read this particular book, but Friedman is an author I really enjoy. I grabbed this and am looking forward to reading.

I have to disagree. About 15% of the times I've seen a book that I am interested in priced from $2.99 down to free on Amazon.com and on Amazon.ca, it's still at full price. Ditto for sales that show Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk sales prices. This makes ereaderiq rather useless to a Canadian.
