For those wondering, it is retroactive. I bought a book yesterday, activated the offer today and qualified for my $5 credit with an email confirmation after purchase of another book today.

I just looked in Content and Devices, and looked at the books I had bought since the start of the offer.

If you click on the little "..." box under actions for each title, it shows you info about the book, including how much you paid. It's in pretty small type, but it's there.

It's kind of cloogey to have to add them up yourself, but it can be done

Maybe someone else has a better way?

Definitely retroactive I just activated it and had my $5 credit almost simultaneously.

Got my credit immediately as well. Just a reminder, same as last time, delayed shipping credits count towards the $20 spending total...my $3 credits counted $15 towards the total. Nice!
