Perhaps with the Poke Pro, not the 1st Poke. Just to be sure, I checked this morning and there was no update available.

I checked on the Pro. It has the two colors that can be mixed. I am surprised the non-pro lacks this feature. Are you sure you have the latest FW#?

I think the addition of the 32 GB storage is a huge plus on the Poke 2. I think the Pro only has 16, and the non-Pro 8.

Main Difference:
Poke has Android 4.4
Poke Pro Android 6

The Onyx Boox Poke (not Pro) is abandoned. No updates have been made. Russian devices with Android 4.4 have long been able to mix the colors of the Leds. So we have to find our own solutions. Or replace the e-reader. Personally I don't need a superior Android version. If I bought the Poke Pro or Poke 2 I would still use the same reading programs that I already use in the Poke (not Pro) and that work correctly with Android 4.4. So the change would be for other reasons. I am attracted by the Poke 2's light weight and the good references to its screen illumination.

Noticed Poke 2 was in stock, so I ordered it from Onyx. Hopefully the upcoming colour edition won't make it completely obsolete lol

I don't think so. The color version will be low-def and less suitable for pure reading. I'm not sure what market the 6" color will fulfill, but it looks nice. I like the pastel colors. I think developers are producing it as they expect it to be huge in a few years when the screens get bigger and higher-def. Maybe it will completely replace B/W, though I hope not.

I just got mine and its the perfect upgrade to my old PRS350!
This is my first android reader and there are a couple of things Id like to change.

1) Calibre doesn't manage collections/shelves unfortunately. Has anyone figured out a way to get Calibre to sort books into shelves for the main library page?
2) The build in Neoreader app isn't great and pretty aggressively hyphenates. Ive heard that moon reader is a big improvement though
3) Is everyone still on the stock launcher? It seems alright but I wonder if there are better choices available

I do not use the built-in library or the NeoReader.
I use CalibreCompanion and AlReader as a reading application.

I thinking about getting Poke2 as my first Onyx Boox reader. Now I have some questions about it:

1) How is he contrast compared to a Paperwhite 4 in general?
2) How is he contrast of the Kindle app compared to a Paperwhite 4?
3) Can I set the screensaver to use the book cover of the latest book I opened with NeoReader?
4) Is it possible to turn off the bookmark icon on the top right corner in NeoReader?

Why use the NeoReader?
There are certainly better applications.
About the cover: no, this is also not possible on an Android smartphone / tablet.
As a contrast: it can be set individually for each application - much better than with the Kindle.

Thank you for you answer. I haven't had any open android ereader before, so my guess is that the native reading apps on those devices would be the best choice in terms of rendering and sharpness of the text.

I saw a video from Nathan, that is comparing the larger Boox devices Nova Pro and Note Pro against each other. And in this video, on both devices the Bookmark icon is somehow vanished:

About the cover thing: Well, as far as my research goes, it is possible to replace sleeping and powered off screens with your own images. I guess it would be possible for the NeoReader developers to implement a function, that extracts the book cover from an epub file and set as sleep/power off screen.
But I guess that has the lowes - if any - priority on their list.

Thank you also, but I guess I would keep the default screensaver, because it is very unconvenient for me to do this for every book.

There is a setting in Neo Reader under general settings for "Show Bookmarks Location". If you uncheck this box the blank bookmark on every page is gone but you can still tap the upper right corner to bookmark the page and the bookmark will show on that page.

No, the NeoReader can only use the options available in Android.
However, many applications are designed for color, so it makes sense to set the background to white and the font to black and to switch off animations.
I prefer AlReader and for book manaement Calibre Companion.
In my eyes, the NeoReader only makes sense in the Notes devices, because only it can be scribbled in ebooks.

To do this, Android functions would have to be rewritten, which will certainly not happen.
