Wow! Congratulations! Great achievement.

I keep treading water, which is a little disappointing but not dire. I finished my purchases through February and thought I could hold my March purchases to two books, one of which I’m reading and the other which I would read shortly, but a sale price on a book late in a series which never goes on sale was compelling. This also means I won’t make my goal of reading all my purchases this year, but if I can read everything but this one book, I’ll consider it a success. (It’s not a series where order is vital, so if I feel like keeping to the letter as well as the spirit of the rule, maybe I’ll read it at that. I hope Jon isn’t looking.)

Of the 17 books I've bought this year, I've now read all but two. And those are both £0.99 purchases of books in series where I haven't got to that book yet.

I'm planning on not buying anything this month except Analog and Asimov's towards the end of the month. And even those two I might decide to leave until some time in May.

I’ve bought eight books so far this year and have read five, am reading a sixth, leaving my two most recent purchases unread. My TBR is down 11, if I can count WIPs.

I always plan not to buy any books, but I stumble when a wishlist books goes on sale. However, needing to read the book in the near future has led me to trim my wishlist, which is good. Mostly my wishlist books don’t go on sale, so I’m pretty safe; most of my stumbles this year have been open promotions, where it was an opportunity to get a book that never does go on sale. As long as I read it, no regrets. (Except for one book that I ended up not liking very much.)

I’m going to be able to resist the current Kindle promotion of spending $20 on ebooks to get a $5 ebook credit. I still have $18.01 to go after my series purchase. .

A need to economise at this time has also helped.

I fell into buying too many books again. At least they were cheap on sale books. Amazon just had a butt load of freebees I picked up

Freebies are one thing. You can always discard them later.

But cheap on sale is the problem. Try not to buy books just because they're on special offer or cheap. Only buy if you really want that particular book.

Me too. I've bought way more books than I'm reading. Gotta have a lockdown!

I've just bought my first ebook after 36 days without a purchase.

a) It was on my wish list
b) It is by a favourite author
c) It's on special offer today only, reduced from £9.99 to £0.99
d) I'll be reading it immediately

On the whole, I think this was a good buy.

I just have to return to a non-ebook buying state of mind now.

Ya. I try to pick up books I been looking at for a while waiting for a sale. Few books on my wish list popped up

I have been lucky this week. Some books I have been wanting for weeks or years been coming up this week at $1.99 some were quite expensive before the sale. So I am pleased with my purchases. Like Joe Hill Full Throttle $14.99 I got it for $2.99 or 1.99$

It's been a couple of weeks since my last ebook purchase. So it seems that I've managed to return to a non-ebook-buying mindset without too much of a problem.

The next Analog and Asimov's should be out very shortly, but I think I'll leave them for a bit. I have two months to buy them. Perhaps I can end April with just that one ebook bought!

Amazon has pretty much solved my book buying addiction. Their 'deals of the day' have been pretty paltry of late, so I haven't bought anything from them in a while. My TBR list is dwindling though.
