Read + Listen to Music Simultaneously? (+ PDFs on 8" screen)

Three quick questions:
1. I'm considering the new Nova 2 and wonder whether you can read while also listening to an mp3 file on the device.

I know folks typically recommend a 10" screen for pdfs, but is it comfortable to read pdfs on an 8" screen if you crop the margins and hold the reader horizontally?

Finally, the Nova 2 adds a microphone, but I'm not clear on the purpose (I'd use my phone for a voice memo). If others use a mic on their ereader, what do you do with it? Thanks!

Yes, you can read a book while listening to music. Just tested it out on my Nova Pro with BlueTooth headphones.

As for PDFs on the Nova Pro, it all depends on the PDF. I recently finished reading two PDF books on it without the need to crop anything without any complaints. However, I usually prefer to read PDFs on my 10" Note Pro. Much more comfortable.

But there are times when even a 10" screen can seem a bit small. At such times, reading the PDF in landscape mode can help a lot. However, then you can't see the entire page all at once. But it is doable. So you could also use landscape mode to read PDFs on the Nova 2. I used to do that on my Kobo Aura One before I discovered Onyx.

As for the mic, it's always useful to have. That said, I've never used the mic on my Note Pro. I'm not all that fond of talking into machines. But it's nice to know that I have that option.

Thanks. I just learned you can convert most pdfs to epub using Google Drive, so my concern over the limits of 8" screen is minimal now.

My device: Nova pro
1. Yes, it supports multitasking so you can read while listening to music.
2. Pdf documents are different depending on the composing and font size. 7.8" screen goes well with normal ebook pdf, as the original published book has the same size. So I don't need to worry about that. But for PDFs of magazine or paper like Economist, I need to zoom in.
3. The micro phone might be used to support other applications? Like speech to text ?I am not sure.
