Shortcuts for OK and CANCEL?

In Calibre's UI are quite a few OK/Cancel dialogs like this one:

On macOS is there a way to select Cancel or OK resp. via a keyboard shortcut (e.g. cmd-C for Cancel and e.g. cmd-O for OK)?

No I'm afraid Apple thinks keyboard accelerators are for losers. So they dont function on macOS. On other platforms you can press alt+O or alt+C. Though I think esc will work for cancel and enter for ok assuming ok is the default selected button.

Trouble is that OK is not the default button. This would help a lot!

Well for permanent deletion cancel is deliberately the default button, since it is an irreversible action.

Promise I didn't touch anything after Shift+Del (customised shortcut - Del alone too easy to tap inadvertently)

Ah must be yet another platform difference I guess then. Looking at the code, calibre does not specify a default button at all, its up to Qt/platform.
