Open file by double-clicking

Hi all,

how can I tell Calibre to open files only by double-clicking on a file?

I'm trying to only select the file and instead Calibre opens the file.
This is annoying.

I have double click set to do_nothing.

Thanks. These settings were already in this tweak. However it still happens some times. Maybe something is wrong with my mouse.

Not likely. The tweak affect Calibre response to mice

You may be the first ARCH user to report the setting being ignored.

BTW triple check

that there is not a tiny Typo in your tweak
But if it used to work for you with older versions of Calibre, it may be another QT issue mouse

(Win has touchy mouse clicks)

Checked again. Either I changed the settings long time ago or they are the defaults.

Not sure. I didn't use Calibre so often in the past. Now I intend to use it more often.
I checked "Double click interval" in the QT5CT Settings. The value is max (2000 ms).

The settings in the image I posted are the default values, you need to change the doubleclick_on_library_view setting to edit_cell, edit_metadata or do_nothing.

@theducks - I wonder if this is another instance of Qt mishandling mouse clicks like the shift+left click Kovid had to workaround the other day, and the Sigil guys had to workaround on codeview tab close a while back.

I would now bet, that something is wrong with the left mouse button. When I buy a new mouse, I'll report back.
