Clara HD Clara - voyance?

I just got a new Clara HD, my second. Went through the set up procedure, side loaded some books, tried to set up a collection for them, and discovered that the new Clara already had all the collections that existed on the old Clara. How did that happen?

Will it be possible for different collections to be set up on the two Claras? If I delete a collection from one device, will it then disappear from the other?

Calibre did it. In order to get two different set of collections, you might need two libraries.

I would guess the collections came form a sync.

If so, would I have to set up a separate account at Kobo to have different collections on the two devices? As all my books are side loaded, that seems unnecessary.

That I cannot answer as I only have one Kobo and I never sync. I'll leave that to someone who knows.

Collections are synced between devices. If you don't buy books from Kobo, you can turn off WiFi, and nothing will sync. Otherwise, separate accounts for each device will work.
