It was in my Amazon Wish List, so I must have read a good review of it at some point. It will be $0.99 for the next 3+ days.

I signed up for the author's newsletter and received links to 7 of his novellas/short stories including "The Moving House" which apparently is a prequel to GHOSTLAND. Also, he says in his latest email that he has started writing the second GHOSTLAND novel, and plans for it to become a trilogy.

Came across this one from Brian Keene's 2020 Splattpunk Award Nominees site.

A group of strangers are pitted against one another in Matt Shaw’s latest extreme horror.

The Game is simple. Each of the contestants are asked a question: how much to complete a certain task? They then have two minutes to name a price but if they go too high and their fellow contestants are cheaper, they have just priced themselves out of the game. The trick is to go high enough to win a good amount of money but low enough to ensure you are the winner. By the end of the bidding war, the person who is the cheapest contestant has to then go through, one by one, completing the tasks. No backing out allowed now...

But who is running this game? And more to the point - why?!

The Dreams by Matthew R. Fleming is $0.99 at Amazon US. I haven't read the book, so I'm not endorsing it. But the premise is interesting:

Waking up in an unknown forest with four strangers, James has an unsettling feeling that the group is not alone. As tension mounts and he finds himself questioning the motives and loyalty of his companions, one of the group members disappears, leaving only a pool of blood behind. The Catacombs by Jeremy Bates is $0.99 at Amazon US.

This is billed as World's Scariest Places, book 2. But you don't need to read the series in any order. No characters or situations continue from book to book. The series revolves around characters getting into trouble in real world places that are considered creepy.

I read the first book, Suicide Forest a while back and enjoyed it.

Paris, France, is known as the City of Lights, a metropolis renowned for romance and beauty. Beneath the bustling streets and cafés, however, exists The Catacombs, a labyrinth of crumbling tunnels filled with six million dead.
