I don't blame them for doing so if it lets them sell the same old junk for a higher price.

It's kinda shady, but...

(Although a lot of "Vegan Leather" kindle cases are 10-20% or so of the cost of the official Amazon real leather case)

Plastics are made from petroleum, which came from dinosaurs, and dinosaurs predate GMO so they could call it non-GMO.

More curiously not all natural rubber from latex is from the "rubber tree". All dandelions and maybe some lettuce can produce it. The Russians are alleged to have a particularly good variety of dandelion for rubber production.

"Bail out" - used to mean throw water out of a boat, now it means throw public money into a bank to save the executive's jobs. And "Bail in" means steal depositors money from their accounts and throw it into a bank to save executive's jobs.
