Hi,
I don't think it would give you any benefit for kindle eBooks. It would for PDF files. It allows one to read PDF format files in landscape mode, in a rather comfortable way, using and taking advantage of the whole surface of the screen. Otherwise impossible. It's not the case for magazines, only for conventional format Books, in PDF format.I have personally a lot of PDF downloaded files on my PC, since long, that I only could read on the screen of the PC

As an update to this, my previous Mac had to be replaced. Got a new one that was on Catalina. Restored from Time Machine backup.

I had to sign back into an account, so I tried my luck and signed into both of my accounts, downloaded a book from each, converted the books into something else in Calibre.

Success.

I can't say for certain that it'll work for anyone wanting to sign out of their account and signing into a new one. But it does work for me.

Super happy that whatever steps we took to get 1.26.1 working in Catalina transferred over in Time Machine. Maybe that points to a better solution in the future?

Was the Time Machine backup from a Mac running Catalina or an earlier macOS?

It appears to have some work done toward Python 3 compatibility, but only a very small part of what is needed to accomplish that.

It does fix the incompatibility with recent calibre versions and KFX DRM removal.
