I noticed now that, remounting, the directory appears.
Using /font never worked-- the fonts didn't appear. Also, I don't care for the quote, but I like to see how much I've read each day. Did you say you there's an option to enable the graph and quote? Last edited by Alan_Bernardo; 01-19-2020 at 07:48 AM. |

You cannot create /fonts - it exist and you can put your fonts into this folder. Last edited by ottischwenk; 01-19-2020 at 08:06 AM. |

And anyhow, my initial question wasn't what was the use of the graph but why it had been dropped after having been there for so long. (And please, don't tell me that Boyue suddenly discovered that no one wanted the graph.) The /fonts folder was apparently created when I downloaded some fonts off the cloud, and not before. Whatever the case, that is probably why I couldn't create the folder, since it already existed, though in looking through the directories when mounting the device to my pc the directory itself did not show. But it did show on a remount. As to the fonts, I think I already knew that I could drop fonts into the directory, which is why I mentioned the whole font directory in the first place. |

And because I donot use the library part I cannot see it and it doesnt interest me. Im interested in the book - not in statistics of my activity with the book. Quote:
So I could deinstall, what I had earlier used. Quote:

But I do think the graph is something users want, and I think it will be returned in later patches. |

If it's hidden somewhere in the settings, I don't care. Such an eInk tablet has a different purpose than displaying statistics on the start screen. |

The quote was a bit stupid as it only picked from a handful of phrases, not a real QotD database. But I miss the old home screen too, the graph was as amusing as useless and at least you could have a few favorite apps thrown in too. Maybe they return a more customizable home screen in a later patch.

My Mars is at 1.1.3-2019092715
When I check for updates, it says latest is already installed? |

Same for me, also still on the older firmware version with no option of updating. I was wondering if they do some sort of staggered delivery, updating in some areas later than others?

I asked Boyue support when v8 would be available. They replied that they will be working to sabilize the latest firmware (January 2020) and hoped to work on Android 8 in April. I don't know how long they will need to develop the new build. But they do still intend to release it.

I have the same issue, when I check for updates it says already the latest version. I have BYRead-V1.1.3-2019092715. Is there some place I can download the newer firmware? I searched but only found older versions.
