It seems the Voyage is not a big enough seller to interest amazon. Hence my suggestion to license it.

Supposedly amazon will allow third party devices if the only DRM they support is amazon's and that kills any third party interest, but maybe the known demand for Voyage would be enough for someone other than amazon. But a clone without a licence might be risky in several different ways.

Thanks for the comment. I think there's a new outlet in my country where you can buy Paperwhite 3 or Kindle Basic. I love having e-readers.

It really was the best kindle for me. I kept it for 2 years. Then I got the oasis 2. I find the oasis 2 ergonomically unfriendly. In the end I switched to the paper white 4 as I couldn’t deal with the unbalanced shape. However I do miss the page turns and adaptive brightness.

Woot currently has the Voyage on sale for 82.99. It's an international 3g version, and that won't work in the US so they are selling them as wi-fi only.

I have bought numerous older Kindle readers (K1 through KT and K NT) on ebay and only one was blacklisted. Seller took it back without a problem and if they had not then I would have put in a defective merchandise claim to ebay and reported the seller for selling lost or stolen goods. Not sure if the ebay guarantee applies to foreign purchasers.

Amazon Woot also has some good buys on Kindle readers on occasion. I got a 32GB Kindle PW Manga from them a couple of years ago. At the time only available from Amazon Japan normally.

I have no idea what they'll go for, but if you want a Voyage it wouldn't hurt to check Shop Goodwill every now and and then. That's where mine came from.

FWIW, I ordered 2 international 3G Voyages from Woot and had to return both due to failure - one didn't work right out of the box and the other lost power very fast (it was done indexing). They were bought (and returned) months apart. I've not had a problem with any other of the many ereaders I ordered. Both wifi only Voyages worked fine. So, I'm wondering if there was a manufacturing problem with the 3g international.
