Harlequin has confirmed they are not going back to OverDrive. No word yet on who the new provider is.

I would love if they went to a company like Kobo, which lets you redeem promotional codes, so that the library was with my own eBooks and I could redeem my points and have all my library together.

I searched a few new Harlequin new releases at Kobo, and they were all there.

Just a quick update to let you know that our current plan is to have the new ebook reading solution available tomorrow, Jan 29th, in the late morning (Eastern time).

Harlequin.com will be inaccessible for a short period of time while we launch the new provider. So, if you come to visit the site and can't get it to load, that is why.

FWIW, when I checked a moment ago they showed only the "read now" button and BookShout app at the top. So obviously the update hasn't gone through yet.

A couple of books are free or on sale in a romance/police procedural series that I really like. The series is the Lord and Lady Hetheridge mystery series and it features two police detectives at Scotland Yard. The hero is a titled lord, 60 yrs old and a lifelong bachelor, the heroine is in her 30's, brash, from a poor East End background who has worked her way up through smarts and determination. Once they are paired together to investigate a crime, he falls for her pretty quickly.

The 5th book has never been on sale before so I was pretty excited when it popped up. The first 3 books are also in a box set that sometimes goes on sale for $0.99. The books currently on sale are:

Ice Blue - Book 1, Free (I think this is perma-free)

Blue Murder - Book 2, $1.49

Blue Blooded - book 5, $0.99

Mating fever is for old dragons, idle romantics, and suckers.

Mathonwy, Duke Draco, absolutely, positively, definitely isn’t falling into a mating fever for the new little witch, Bethany Aura, whom his company just hired to whip a new Las Vegas casino into shape. The casino is behind schedule, over budget, and a shambling mess of construction debris and dirt. Angel investors are arriving in a month, and someone in the finance department is embezzling money.

But his eyes are changing color to flowing, molten gold, he keeps showing up to hang around Bethany, and he obsesses with buying diamonds and gold to drape all over her, as if she had been dipped in his hoard.

But Mathonwy has a job to do. He’s the CFO for Dragons Den, Inc., and he might be crowned the next king of New Wales, though he’s not particularly sure he wants that job. He’s six feet, six inches tall, ripped from flying instead of taking a plane, and on a dozen committees and boards in New Wales. He has a career. He has a position as a nobleman in his community. He’s too young to settle down with a fated mate.

Yet, as Bethany casts her glittery, sparkling spells and summons adorable, fluffy creatures to clean away the wreckage and arrange the furniture, Mathonwy watches.

He can’t take his eyes off of her.

But he isn’t falling into mating fever.
