The Night at the Crossroads, apa The Crossroads Murders, apa Maigret at the Crossroads, is the sixth in the Maigret series by Georges Simenon. It has dropped to $1.99 at Kindle and Kobo US. Maigret titles don't go on sale very often in the US (although this has been on sale previously in the UK), so grab it if you want it.

Tall Man in Ray-Bans is the first in the John Tall Wolf series by Joseph Flynn, which is a spin-off from Flynn's Jim McGill series. Flynn started off as traditionally published, and now runs his own Stray Dog Press, but I've liked all of Flynn's books that I've read, including this one.

While interviewing John for his job, Marlene was amused by his assertiveness, and asked him, “What do you want, a license to take scalps?” John said, “Yeah, that’d be good.”

I noticed on the way to other things that all eleven titles in Michael Dibdin's Aurelio Zen series are currently £0.98 each at Kindle UK, along with a couple of Dibdin's other non-series titles.

A Dangerous Man is the most recent (2019) in the Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series by Robert Crais. It has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK - well worth grabbing if you follow this series. Most recent-in-series titles by major authors like this don't usually go on sale either this soon or this inexpensively in the US.

Now the first three titles in this series have dropped to £0.98 at Kindle UK. There was an omnibus of the first six titles floating around on sale for a while (although a long time ago), so check carefully before you buy...
