I never found the tracker but I did find this on a black banner when I went to Audible to look for it again. Guess time will tell.

I couldn't find anything so I google Audible Challenge 2020 and got the website banner, a FAQ that seems to answer most questions. Sure didn't see it when I just went their website. It is actually pretty clear, just very difficult to find! https://www.audible.com/ep/audible-challenge

It was badly done by Audible, as the FAQs have been changed several times since the promotion started. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. Too much champagne? It's created a lot of ill-will, which is hardly the point of a promotion. But people will get over it.

edited again to add: Ok, they have changed that too. You have to listen to a book that is at least 2 hours. Maybe it said that originally and I just didn't see it.

Just a reminder, you will be receiving a "$20 USD Amazon promotional credit." And the "Amazon promotional credit does not apply to digital content, and only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (look for 'sold by Amazon.com' on the product detail page)." Also, the "Amazon credit will expire 30 days after it is deposited into your account."

My plan is to use the $20 to purchase regular items on Amazon, and then use the actual money I saved to cover an extra month of Audible on Platinum Monthly. So I'll get 2 books for $2.95 + tax.

Two points, but they may well have changed the rules since I last looked!

I saw that the qualifying books had to be at least three hours long. Of course if you listen at double speed, that's an hour and a half!

It's Amazon credit, not Audible credit, and it expires in 30 days. Nice, but not exactly a cash equivalent. For me without Prime (so I'd have to spend at least $25 to get shipping on hard goods) and with the 30-day expiration, having to spend $14.95 to get it is very close to a wash, since the additional audiobook (from the credit I'll have to purchase to stay a member) is truly coals to Newcastle. Just barely worth it. Not that I can't find $20 worth of Kindle books, but again, I'll have to add at least some cash to the total at that.

It won't work for Kindle books either (no digital content), see my post just above yours (We must have been typing at the same time).

Now I really need to rethink, as I'd have to spend at least $5 more to get free shipping and it's so tedious to try to get an Amazon cart to come in at just over $25. It takes time and frequently a makeweight item that I wouldn't have bought otherwise.

Well, it's not a hardship to meet the challenge, so I don't have to decide on the extra credit until late February.

In the past, when going to cancel Audible, I believe I was always offered another month at half-price.

The caveat about digital content was there from the beginning. The only clarification/change I'm seeing is that one must still be a member as of the end date of the challenge.

Just ended a free membership yesterday, but the standard (?) free trial membership on any book page allowed me back in today. 2 free books instead of one.

I thought about waiting until after the 17th to try to join, to maximize that $20 credit deal and only have to pay for one month, but decided to throw Amazon a bone and go ahead and join. 3 months, 4 credits, for $30, with $20 Amazon credit back. Good enough for me.
