I HATE READING

I bet that got your attention. It is true however. I do hate reading...books, hard, physical books with pages. Its so boring to me. The name is Timm. A little about me. I'm a 26 year old male, whose married, and has kids. My wife is the big reader out of the two of us. I recently got a job where I sit for about 9 hours working on stuff and my wife convinced me to listen to an audio book to pass the time. She knows the most how much I hate reading, but to appease her I tried it. The book was Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. Its hard to put into words, but I was sitting there doing my stuff and I just got sucked in. The noises of machines and my co workers drowned out and I just heard the story. I did my work, and time flew by. Before I knew it my cheap bluetooth head set had died, and I was back in the noisy room again. Next day same thing, but I brought my headset charger with me this time. So I only had to wait an hour to pick up where I left off. I finished that book and wanted another one. I was surprised. I then listened to The Hobbit by Tolkien. Finished that in a day. So I'm here now, and I'm going to be posting in the audiobook section about recommendations. Since I don't read and never really have I don't know of any good books in the genres I like. And my wife has slightly different tastes than I do, so her recommendations might start to get stale. I hope to have good relationships with you all. Happy new year.

Applause for the clickbait, obvious but still irresistible. It sounds like your wife has done you a big favour by helping you find a way to enjoy books, brava! And I say that as someone who loathes audiobooks with a visceral intensity.
