-create a folder right inside the kobo named fonts and copy inside it the font Code2000 I attached down here (or your own custom font)

when you must edit the patch file:
-find the libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml (in the /src folder of the patch file) and open it with notepad++ or a txt editor
-inside it find the patch named Dictionary text font-family/font-size/line-height
-edit the line following the instructions and choose the Code2000 font and save the changes
-Run kobopatch.bat on Windows, or kobopatch.sh on Linux.
If the patching succeeded, a file named KoboRoot.tgz will be created in the /out folder.
-Copy it to the .kobo folder of your device and wait (or restart)

If you have serious problems patching, tell me and in the next week I can write you a detailed post

I did not check the dictionary, due to the lack of Hebrew books and the necessary fonts. Owl_ probably checked.

The font CODE2000 should solve any problems of glyphs (because it has a great number of glyphs).

Anyway, the final solution must come from kobo, with a firmware that has a good unicode font as default font of the dictionary. The default font of the dictionary is Georgia and does not contain all the glyphs.
This simple choice will give access to the dictionary even to the user of an uncommon tongue

It's a matter of taste and preference. So I never impose my font (I use Cambria for the dictionary).

Despite this dictionary is inside each WordNet INFUSED that I published untill now; because it is famous, I decided to public it separately in an improved version.

How is this better then the English discionary that Kobo supplies?

A dictionary written by blind monkeys would be better than what Kobo ships, that's how low the bar is.

Hi, can someone help me convert the stardict Duden Universalwörterbuch to dicthtml (Kobo)? I've tried using this method but I get the message 'penelope3.py is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file' at step 11. I tried to fix that by adding the Penelope map to environment variables and rebooting the computer. Not sure if that was right, because I didn't really understand the instructions, but it didn't work. So if you could convert this dictionary or if you have a link to another dictionary that recognizes conjugations I'd be very grateful!

Owl- I'm back again. I'm using a very large custom dictionary. With some finagling I can get it working. However, inevitably it stops working and says that I have no dictionary installed at all. After plugging into a computer, I see that my dictionary is there just fine. So I have to go through the rigamarole again of reinstalling the original dictionary, restarting, replacing it, etc. And, eventually, I trick the Forma into loading my replacement dictionary.

Is there any way around this? I am guessing it's doing some kind of simple check and deciding that it's not the default dictionary, despite the file name matching.

Despite I always manually copy the firmware update, I know that this happens when there is an automatic sincronization or an automatic firmware update. Try to pacth the firmware enabling the patch named "Change dicthtml strings to micthtml" inside the libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml. You should rename the dictionary. See here

It works for me, now the only thing I have to do is to patch again the Kobo when the firmware changes (the new dictionary will survive in the directory but, without patch, the Kobo will search again the standard dictionary).

And if You decide to patch Your Kobo You could consider to use other patches, if You like.
