The Ardbeg is good, the Talisker is better. But the PC is pretty good too. More floral than the saltiness of the Talisker, but peatier too. I'd say between the two, I slightly prefer the Talisker, but save the PC for special. Partly because it's so very hard to find periodically.

I am ecstatic! It won't be in my glass until later, but I found a bottle of Hibiki whiskey by Suntory Distillery out of Yamazaki, Japan. This hasn't been imported in a few years due to some shortages in Japan. It is Japan's most highly awarded whiskey and one of the most rewarded in the world. It also comes in a beautiful cut glass bottle with a glass stopper. Merry Christmas to me!

Yeah, I find the phenolic on the Ardbeg just a bit much, though a touch of water helps quite a bit. Not to say I wouldn't happily have an Ardbeg, and I keep some in the house, but I like the briny character of the Talisker a bit more.
