Apparently at least the "All-New Kindle" and Kindle Paperwhite are the same price as Amazon at bestbuy.com and can be picked up in store (if they have stock) if that works better for you

Hulu just raised my Live TV by $10 per month. Earlier this year they raised it by $5 per month, so no love for loyal customers. I’m switching to OTA and Philo for live TV, just keeping the Hulu on demand.

Bing.com's landing page yesterday (Thanksgiving Day) had a banner ad for "200 Black Friday Flyers." Being uninterested in Black Friday deals, I didn't click on the ad.

How unthoughtful of me! How inconsiderate of my fellow MobileReaders! How selfish! Etc. I began to be guilt-ridden, penitent. Etc.

I tried to pull up the banner ad again, but without success. However, I did some looking around, and theblackfriday.com (note that the word "the" is in the URL) site _might_ be the one that the banner ad linked to. Problem is, there are only _a measly 170 flyers_ there. But you might want to give it a try. I'm sorry about posting this information so late. But you'll need some flyers to peruse while waiting in lines at the B&M stores tomorrow, won't you?

Being devoid of the "Christmas Spirit" (which in our day means unfettered consumerism), I am glad to see that we are making progress toward the end of this madness. Let's see: we've had the pre-Black Friday sales already! Black Friday's tomorrow. But--oh my--I'm sure that there'll be a post-Black Friday Sale, to coincide with people changing their minds and returning to the B&M stores and the Web to return or exchange items that they bought on BF. Then(?) there's Cyber Monday (when stores have a lot on sale besides computer-type stuff), but before that there's bound to be a pre-Cyber Monday sale; maybe this year we'll see the first post-Cyber Monday sale! Anyway we can be sure that after that, there will be pre-Christmas sales galore; followed by the day or two before Christmas sales, for procrastinators (delivery services will gladly deliver packages overnight (overnight delivery is a case cow for them--they'll even deliver on _Sundays_ if someone plunks down enough money)).

But keep in mind--we are making progress!

Black Friday is one milestone on the way to the end of this craziness.

ADDENDUM: I just learned from the advertisement of a sale by a major publisher/wholesaler/retailer that we are in Cyber _Week_ right now. The sale ends December 3; therefore, Cyber Week must have started on November 27. I'm sorry for the oversight. I also failed to mention the post-Christmas sales, which are, well, after Christmas.

Walmart was actually a reasonable experience last night. First of all Weds night I ordered the $99 Chromebook and the SD cards on line. But I didn't need to have, as they had plenty in the store. They seemed to have plenty of everything, though I did hear customers saying they ran out of this or that. I waited 45 minutes in line for my $98 40" TV, which actually weighed a LOT less than the box of Anchor Hocking glass storage containers that I got. Weird!

So they had 64GB SD cards for $8!!! And 128GB for $14! You could put an awful lot of ebooks or audiobooks on those. I got the 64GB, one for the new Fire 10" (which will be opened today), one for a camera, and 2 extra. But now I have to wait to pick those cards up LOL.

This is example #248 of why I never get why people think Amazon's customer service is so good. I find it no better than any other at best, and frequently infuriating.

Long story short: When I tried to buy an Echo Dot under the trade-in program, I got the gift card amount applied to my total, but I did not get the 25% discount. A frustrating conversation with customer service which included my walking them through my invoice more than once, several instances of dead time, and being booted to someone higher up, eventually (35 minutes later!) to acknowledge that indeed, I had not gotten the discount I was entitled to. And, that they'd issue a promotional credit to my account for the difference.

That was way too big an investment of my time when Amazon's website wasn't up to handling Black Friday promotions. And while I got them to up the credit to $10, I never buy from Amazon any more. it'll get used eventually, but it's going to sit some time. Breakage goes to the business, alas.
