Good afternoon,

I want to know how to downgrade my Kindle Paperwhite 2 with the firmware version 5.10.2.1

The Update button is not able.

If it's not jailbroken, you can't (... unless you jailbreak it over serial first ;p).

If it is, simply boot into diags, and flash the update you want (main + kernel) manually from there.

(Wiping the cc.db & co is also recommended to avoid schema mismatch issues).

I can not jailbreak without opening the kindle?

I have no idea what a KP2 is, but if it is at all similar to a Kindle PW2 ...

It is a design feature introduced by Amazon's Lab126 fairly early in the series 5.x firmware builds.
The only exceptions being those occasionally found by this site's members.
(I.E: When Lab126 screws up their build system.)

And how do you plan to install an earlier version of the firmware?
The fw version you how have most certainly has the "Downgrade Attack" protection enabled.

If you could do that without opening the Kindle, we would not have told you to open the Kindle and use the serial port.

my pw2 is jailbroken, fw is 5.10.1.1, more details to implement downgrade please. Is there some tutorials i could reference?
