4.x Update Errors

Good morning, W10 OS. Running 4.2 and everytime I try to upgrade to 4.3 or 4.4 I get the following errors:

The system cannot open the device or file specified.

Error code 2755

Product: calibre 64bit -- The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755. The arguments are: 110, X:\Downloads\calibre-64bit-4.4.0.msi,

Any idea why I am getting these?

I was going to suggest either the X: drive is encrypted, X: is a network mapped drive or you have a permissions issue.

Yeah.. it's an ext4 converted NTFS drive that Windows doesn't auto-mount all the time upon boot. Haven't figured that one yet. Don't have an additional drive to move the data to so I can format it either. Good suggestions, right on point I think.

I have gone the Linux GParted ' shuffle method
you don't even need Linux installed. Use a Live CD

Use GParted to make as big a partition as I can of the type I neeed, then use the OS to move the files from the Old partition to the New.
Then use Parted to EXPAND the new partition into the free space.
Repeat until there are no Old partition files
then recover that space
