				Forma issues

I've had my Forma for a year now, and I use it almost every day. I'm on the firmware from the end of September.

As time has gone on, my Forma is getting more and more buggy. It will sometimes turn itself on and drain the battery when not in use. I thought, maybe, this was because I had the sleep/wake feature turned on. I've turned it off, and it still does it. If I have the sleep/wake feature on, it will put itself to sleep randomly while I'm reading. I'm not moving anything at the time, it just goes to sleep. Now, with it off, at least once every day or two, I will hit the power button to wake it up, and nothing happens. I have to spend several minutes pressing the power button several times before the light flashes and it reboots itself. I'm really getting annoyed by this. This is the most expensive thing I carry around all day (at least half-again as much as my phone or 3DS) and it glitches more than anything else I own. Does anyone have any suggestions besides getting a new eReader? Not many of them have a screenlight, physical page turn buttons, and can be bought in the US. |

I don’t have anything helpful to say other than to contact Kobo and get a replacement.

These are way too expensive for you to live with those kind of problems |

I would try and factory reset it first to see if that fixes anything, and if it doesn't I would send it back. Is it still under warranty?

Does it do that when you're using it without the sleep cover? |

I still have the sleep cover on it, I've just disabled the auto sleep feature. It doesn't go to sleep on its own, but it does lock up.

I'm thinking about trying a different reader software on it, to see if that would make a difference. Otherwise, I bought it through Walmart, so I should be able to get a replacement through them. |

Do try without the actual sleep cover, the software toggle is just that, software, the sensor might still be doing crazy things behind your back.

One problem I have found with covers, is that the "hinge" part stretches and the front doesn't moves and the magnet doesn't line up properly. The cheap cover I had on my Aura H2O was particularly bad. Unless I carefully lined it up, the device didn't go to sleep.

	My suggestions would be:
Other than that, it is talk to Kobo and get it replaced. |
