Here are some quotes from the Amazon Kindle Publishing Guidelines regarding SVG in Enhanced Typesetting (KFX):

"Enhanced Typesetting currently has minimal support for Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)." For details on what SVG features are supported see section 10.4.11 (Use Supported SVG Tags and Elements) in that document.

"Enhanced Typesetting does not support SVG images, but SVG rasterization is partially supported." This means that SVG images will be converted to JPEG.

Amazon's SVG to JPEG converter is very limited. See the link I provided for a list of SVG features it supports.

I replaced the svg images, except for the cover wrapper (and similar ones). Then it converted fine.

The error may be caused by a bug in the plugin. I do not have a Mac for testing.

Do you know which version of the Kindle Previewer you have installed?

I am getting the same error.

Calibre's version is 4.3 64-bit [08 Nov, 2019]
KFX Output plugin's version is 1.33.0
Kindle Previewer's version is 3.35.0
OS version is Windows 10 64-bit 1903

The book to be converted is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

The error is:

Thanks for the error report. That is definitely a problem with the plugin.

I will look into it after the weekend. Hopefully I can replicate the problem. If not I may need more information.

Calibre's version is 4.3 64-bit [08 Nov, 2019] KFX Output plugin's version is 1.33.0 Kindle Previewer's version is 3.35.0 OS version is Windows 10 64-bit 1903 The book to be converted is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
