Now that I am a member, I clicked on her link again and there is no mention of a sale (because I now am a member).

Presumably, because you already are a member, you saw no link.

I am not currently a KU member. Barbara's link is showing me $29.97 for six months;
Booklovers' link is showing me $47.86 for six months. Seriously?

I bet Booklovers is Normal cost IF you pay for several months in advance instead of 1 month at a time BUT mine is Sale!

I think these are two separate offers - I had a banner ad at the top of my Kindle webpage yesterday offering six months of KU for 1/2 off, which I meant to post, but just got really crazy/busy and didn't get online to post. This looks to be the same as @Barbara1995's offer.

Then @booklover6's offer with the varying terms and amounts up to 40% off seems to be something completely different. I'm actually happier with the 40% for two years, because I would like to have a membership longer term again, and doubt I would find more 50% offers on a consistent basis in the future. So 40% is good enough for me.

As someone else pointed out, I don't have to read very many KU books to make $6/month worth it.

Kindle Unlimited does include a number of audiobooks, though I usually don't find a lot. But when it is a whisper-sync-for-voice, I can get the audio book for 1.99 up to 7.49. That's the only way I buy audio books, since I don't have an Audible subscription. (Waiting for a sale).

Actually the deal I got is a sale that they do twice a year, on Prime Day and around Black Friday. It's what I paid 2 years ago on BF. I prefer getting it 2 years at a time, because I use it ALL the time.

Thanks for explaining, I will pay better attention to see if I find some audiobooks.
