Does anyone still use a Kobo Aura H2O?

I mean the first edition Kobo Aura H2O. Not second edition.

I am curious because I have one, but these days people talk more about the Clara HD, Forma, H2O Libra, etc. I am curious if people still use this device and how it's holding up for you.

Mine was very laggy after turning it on. I hadn't used it for 5 months or so. Then I reset it, reloaded books, and now it's OK. But I do wonder if it'll be laggy again? If this is a sign that it is dying? The lights near the bottom are also kind of shadowy. I'd be sad if it was dying. I sure hope not

People here have upgraditis myself included so when we’re four or five generations from a device it starts to fade away. I still have my original Aura H2O but I don’t use it because I have a Forma.

I use m original Aura H2O. It works very well and it does not lag at all. It's running the 4.18.x firmware. I use it a lot. I've had it for 4 years 11 months.

Right now, I cannot justify another Kobo given that mine works well. If I do need another Reader, I'll be going for another Kobo.

The lights works well and are very bright. I use 4% most of the time and sometime 5% or 6%. I'm not needing the Comfortlight. If I had it, I would try it.

I was using an original Aura H2O till just the other week. I'd ONLY use a Kobo due to the best annotation export. I got a Libra before they decide to cost reduce it.
I use the ereader to proof & annotate instead of paper. As well as reading for enjoyment.
I plan to pass the Kobo Aura H2O original to a beta reader, if one is prepared to annotate. Mostly they just read and give a general comment. Anything else is too much like work. The only payment is getting to read the books for free!

Sometimes the Aura H2O would get very slow (Selection for annotation), reading & page turn always OK. A power off or reset would return it to normal, or a sleep for 30s. I think it doesn't sleep genuinely till some delay after putting up the sleep screen.

Yes I got mine I think the first week it was released, and 5 years later, still use it nearly every day. I had one library book once that seemed to be slow to turn pages, but not a problem normally.

For me it is still a great ebook reader, mine has 16 GB internal and micro sd 32 GB, the only problem I had, was when the screen broke due to an accidental fall.(I replaced the screen)
I like it a lot, I also use K1- Libra H2O and other Kobos

Not the H2O, but I'm using daily an even older Kobo Aura (the original 6" device), although I must say I bought it second hand 2 years ago or so, after my first same model died of a broken screen, I don't know how much use it had previously.
As long as the battery holds up a charge, and the screen doesn't get broken, these ereaders are pretty sturdy, I still have my Nook Simple Touch (without light), and my first ereader, a Hanlin V6 (a model previous to the first kindle), I charge them from time to time and see that they still start up without problems.

I'm still on my Aura H2O (1st Edition.) Still works perfectly. I've noticed the battery life is slipping a bit, but it's still phenomenal. (I think I charge it about every four weeks instead of every six these days.)

I'm just hoping Kobo is still in business (and still in the business of e-ink hardware) when it comes time for a replacement.
