Like the idea of a list. Long press on title or book cover does bring up choices for me (air drop, Marvin, kindle, books, etc) on my iPad and iPhone and a quick tap takes me to metadata. Might have to try more than once on my phone because it seems that it wants me to be more precise in the pressure I use for long and short
I like to go to home page and use AZ up/down to sort by date added to Calibre. That is not working for me. In this app every book shows it was added to Calibre the day you add it to CC. However, the info in meta data shows correctly. Date added to CC is working correctly. |

I just hit this problem! And CC won’t sign into Dropbox, so unless I’m next to my computer, I can’t see any of my books! Are there plans to make the Dropbox sign in work again? Without that, the app really doesn’t do anything.

I too lost my libraries when the update came - both on my iPad and my iPhone - over 3100 books. I came across this thread when I discovered the search function was totally useless. I can search by author but when I try to search by title it won't even return a book I can actually see when I type in the title.
One book would never transfer over. It is one of the largest and had transferred before. The way I look at it, you destroyed a perfectly good program and erased my data with an update that you knew would erase my data, leaving me with a program that does not work correctly either in the search function or the transfer function, and now you want me to pay you money in exchange for a promise to make things better? Yeah, right. The way I look at it, the developer should pay me money for the time I spent reinstalling 3100+ books on two devices. |

Just an update after some more exploring in CC:
1. The sort by date added to Calibre in not working. The books are sorted by the date they were added to CC in both the sort by date added to Calibre and sort by date added to CC. 2. When I first opened CC today and checked Tags for the first time since the update there were no Tags in CC. After connecting back to Calibre there are more tags but the totals are off. A Tag that has 694 books in Calibre has 106 books in CC. 3. According to Calibre there are 3127 in CC on my iPad. According to CC, there are only 2581 in CC on my iPad. What's up with the missing almost 600 books - are they not in CC or are they in CC and CC just doesn't count them? When I first turned CC on today it told me I only had one book. After connecting wirelessly back to Calibre the total in CC rose to 3127 but where are the other hundreds of books? I don't mind paying a subscription fee, although I think it should be waived for people who bought the program before. But I refuse to pay any kind of fee until I am shown that the new people can actually make the program work again. The cynical part of me says that they screwed the program up on purpose to force us to subscribe. I did not have apps set to update automatically but some iOS update must have changed that. I wish I had caught that before CC updated because I have always been hesitant to update things right after the update comes out. My experience has been a little different - I'm not having any problems reconnecting to dropbox. I did have all of my books deleted with the update, but that was almost helpful. I use CC as a method to grab books that aren't in my Kindle library, and pay little to no attention to the books stored within the app. This ended up being cleanup to me, and no hassle at all. Books are small enough to download over a cellular connection if I need to, so I'm fine using dropbox as my library and my CC as a temporary staging area to download my books. It's interesting to me that so many people rely on having their whole library stored on their devices. Switching to a subscription method after I paid for the app definitely makes me grumpy though. |

I'm a picky reader. I tried the route where I moved only a book or two over to my iPad at a time but then sometimes the ones that I had moved did not appeal to me at the time. Moving them all gave me more choice.

Your assumption is incorrect. I was the CC Android dev until recently. Several years ago I asked for and received that permission for Android and iOS, which is why there is a separate CC forum. You may have issues with the new CC dev (Sam), but don't manufacture new ones from whole cloth.
