You should have a cover for any Reader that you take out of the house. If you also want a sleeve, the sleeve needs to fit the Reader with the cover. I've read of too many people not having a cove and having a sleeve and the screen gets damaged in the bag/pack.

I don't like the way it folds to hold up on portrait orientation though, it becomes a little lopsided under the weight.
The weight is similar with any cover i guess, is the quality good tho?
I was just thinking that a cheaper one that costs half the price may last less and i wouldn't save any money at the end, maybe you tried them on other readers

Lopsided the libra on that position or the cover becomes slack?

My favorites are Gecko Covers. I have been using them for years with various devices.

Yes, I agree, and it's exactly why I'm not taking it out if the house, as I said in my post.

Yes, the weight should be just as any other cover

Quality is good but not 40€ good if you know what i mean. Those ridges to fold make it feel a bit flimsy when opening or closing. When full open it closed off actually will secure (i lost count on how many magnets there may be inside it)

The folding part gives a little bit to the weight.

I'll take some pictures once i can.

Its not that much but its enough to make me go nuts xD

I took the photos as level as i could.

Nearly forgot... The angle should be raised. As is, it stays to low to read without ceiling light to reflect on the screen

Thanks! Yeah i understand, maybe such things were ok for a normal priced cover but not for a 40€ one.
Let's hope some other brands will pull out something more, maybe a classic book like cover is still the best solution.
Unfortunately compared to the kindle they make much less covers for kobos

I just needed the cover and the was nothing else available, so...

I kind of liked the clara hd one. Was a bit odd opening like a notepad and wouldn't work landscape, but still...

I guess it's due to the origami mechanism, but as long as it protects the screen and doesn't break early...
I'm afraid I'll have to spend those 40€ too, it may take even months before amazon puts out other covers and i can't keep it without

It is. That last little bit that actually sits on the table folds and let's it fall a bit. One can see that if that little thing didn't fold it would hold the kobo ok.

When closed its stronger than it looks, i actually tried pushing my finger in the middle of it and holds fine.

Four other things I'm not a fan
-The on off button becomes useless has the cover hinge is on the button side, so to use it without closing the cover, instead of lifting a little bit you actually need to spread it all and get the hand around the device. Double annoying, as you can't also reach it when the cover is folded to hold it up (button is under the part of the cover that doesn't fold (top rightside of my second pic)
You have to go through this if the screen sleeps while you are making a little break for example
-Doesn't cover all the sides. Right side where the usb port is, is always open to the elements. (My clara hd cover actually managed to close it all completely
-left side is thicker than page button side, to try to mitigate the raised right side i imagine. This makes the on off button almost disappear in a deep pit ahah. Also, this means it's thicker (and therefore, heavier) that it needed to be.
-there are so many magnets on the thing that in afraid to laid anything over it (nit picking now)

Rant mode off. I just needed a case lol

When I got my H2O, I had no cover for it as I didn't want the Kobo cover. The only way I took it out of the house was in the box it came in. I hardly took the H2O out until I got a cover. But I still had my T1 and was taking that out.

I have my coverless Forma in the pocket of a hoodie I’ve worn all day. I did the same thing yesterday and the day before etc. back to the day I first got it. Barring a few days when I tried the official sleepcover and ultimately decided it added too much bulk.

The screen is fine.

Same goes for the KA1, the original Aura H2O, and a smattering of Nooks.

Since we’re sharing stories about covers and ereaders.

Thank you for the suggestion. Currently trying to get KOReader to run on the Libra (as per the One-Click install script) but after a *seemingly* successful install it keeps crashing at launch. Posting about it in the appropriate thread.
