Feature: custom column description to display as an hint

In the library view we can hover the mouse over the column header of a custom column and obtain the description for that field (along with the lookup name) as a tooltip.

But when in Metadata editing screen the description does not display for custom columns.
Is this possible to have this feature implemented?

This would allow us to use the description as hints when editing in the metadata edit screen, same as we get when using the fields "Title" or "Title sort" .

I had not noticed this case . Why not

For the new folk: If you fill in the Description column when you create (or update) the custom column, that appears as Balloon help on the column header.
