I would like to see a simple UI plug-in that allows one to right-click a book and mark as read.
This would allow one to easily toggle a book to read from the cover view. It would be also a plus if it could update a date field to mark the date when toggled to YES. Added: And have a keyboard shortcut ![]() Last edited by BetterRed; 09-15-2019 at 05:13 PM. Reason: Added |

The nearest thing would be the Mark Books tool, but the 'Marks' (gold pin) are temporary - i.e. they don't persist once calibre is closed. You could Mark books via its keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+M) and before ending the session you could select all the marked books, and set a date custom column via bulk MDE. BR |

Why don't you create a thread in Plugins called something like "[Discuss] Mark Event" where you can gather ideas. I have a couple points to I can contribute, also happy to do any early bird testing. BR |

Mark books with Shortcut to different lists
Another function would really love is:
I make a list of lists, example: criminal horror science fiction fantasy Then i watch all my books, mark them and press for example STRG+1 (2,3,4); so i mark books to different lists. Finally i tell Calibre: Move list 1 to library a move list 2 to library b ... then i go for lunch and after i have moved all my books with the easiest way possible. |

Unless my Kindle has a list collection and of books in the collections on my device, whether or not the book/ collection has been downloaded to the device, I don't see how the collections plugin can help. |

That plugin would be a bulk metadata edit, you select all the books by that author and assign the award (there is no author specific information).
