Thanks, daithi, great site and I've already downloaded a few books, and will be back often. As somebody who started with the old Rocket eBook, I went to Gutenberg often, but formatting and transferring those was a pain. Still was for the Sony Reader.

This makes it so easy to browse through, download and transfer books I have not read to my Kindle, that it is a pleasure.

Thanks again

I changed the links for the George Orwell books and for Gone with the Wind to buyable links. I don't believe any of the other downloadable books are of questionable public domain status. (It's time like this I long to be Canadian -- Ok, not really, but U.S. copyright laws are ridiculous.)

This is an absolutely fantastic site, conveniently laid out and easy to read! I have visited feedbooks, manybooks, mobileread and all are fantastic sites themselves; what I love about your site is the Classic Lit, Modern Lit sections--makes it so easy to grab what I want! Thanks for your efforts; they are greatly appreciated!

I really love the "Request" button. Not only does it send an email to Amazon, but it also sends one to Sony.

I notice that you have a book by Lois McMaster Bujold (Barrayar), and list the rest of the series. These books are *MUCH* cheaper directly from the publisher and they come without copy protection. You can see the listing at:
http://www.webscription.net/s-13-loi...er-bujold.aspx

In order to get the best deal, you need to recognize the omnibus editions: ie multiple books rereleased as a single book. For example,
Miles Errant is "Borders of Infinity," Brothers in Arms, and "Mirror Dance." so you get all three for $5.

I 'think' the omnibus editions are: Miles Errant, Miles in Love, Miles Mystery and Mayhem, & Miles Mutants & Microbes

It took about 3 minutes to show up in my inbox. YMMV.

Nice site, I plan to try it as soon as I can. Very clean, very well organized, saves a lot of bouncing around to different sites.

I'd like to mention it in my blog, and add it to the resource list, if that's OK.

Thanks to everyone else that has commented on the site. It's really appreciated.

The Search option in firefox now works (but it still flashes a screen it shouldn't and I don't know why).
I added you to the Visual Guide under free PD sites.

Edit: Make that the Myths page.

Your site is looking good! I hadn't realized that Chronicles of Narnia recently became available on Kindle until i was browsing fantasy on your site. However I own the box set and can't really rejustify buying them again "just because" at the moment, lol.

emellaich - I'll have to look into the best way incorporate buying books cheaper directly from the publisher. I'll also have plans to modify my site to better handle omnibus editions. That's definately a slight problem that I wish I had thought of before designing things.

JSWolf - It should send the email right away, so like kwjones said it should only take a couple minutes for the email to get to you.

KindleDude - Thanks, and I'd love to have you mention my site on your blog.

daffy4u - thank you very much.

It is indeed a splendid web site. But.... only 1000 books? I didn't see any category with 26, 51 or 101 books. Did I miss one?

Paul

Oh - and it would be very good to allow links to publisher's direct sites where they are available. I was about to write to you about Barrayar myself. It's available as part of an Omnibus, "Cordelia's Honor", for just $5.00 at webscriptions.net. A lot better than paying $5.99 each for the two individual novels. ("Shards of Honor" and "Barrayar")
