Given that the WordFire published singles seem to run $5 apiece 10 for $10 is quite good. Since these aren't his best-known stuff, I don't own any of them on Kindle. I did have a number of them in paperback.

I started one R.A. Salvatore novel: Canticle. It was absolutely awful. Did I pick a bad example of his writing? Or if I didn't like that, should I skip him?

It's more or less typical. It's not his best work but then, his best isn't much unless you're an emo teen who's into edgelord powergaming or a Forgotten Realms fanboy.

I never could get into his books. I tried starting a few over the years, but put them down after getting less than 20% into the books.
