Calibre portabe 4.0 startup Problem

just upgraded Calibre portable to 4.0
but when i start i see it as an icon but can not get to any menu / functionality.

debug gives the following :

72 DPI ? Do they even make displays that low?
I suspect your video card/driver is really old
Can you update either?

@theducks: thanks a lot. u pointed me to the right direction

i started in compatibility mode with 640 x 480 resolution than calibre came up. Now i could switch back to normal mode and it is working THX.

Love it when it all comes together.
Now, if I just had a clue on why that worked.
A Windows update that should have had a reboot but was not flagged for one. (Had that happen more than once. It may also be the DLL was in use at the time (another app) and not part of the main OS)
