Just bought my white Libra, and it's perfect - I couldn't be happier. The lightning looks perfectly even, and I haven't experienced any issues using it left-handed. The only thing I would mention is that the screen is indeed a little bit darker than my Glo HD's (I put them one on top of the other, so I don't think optical illusion worked its way with me). It's not something you would notice unless you put both readers side by side, and to be fair the Libra's screen looks very sharp (sharper than the Glo HD), so this is not something that bothers me. I'm not sure if this is something that is shared by all Libras, but I thought I would mention it for those who prefer reading without frontlight.

Honestly I would advise against buying it a Indigo because once the box is open, unless it’s deffective they won’t return it. While Best Buy for example will return it even if you just wanted to try it out. |

comfort light
I've noticed a strange behavior of the comfort light: occasionally it stays on while the indicator on the slide is at its left-most position. I can turn it off by tapping the indicator.

Yes, I did the same with the Superstore discount recently on Indigo cards. Used them for the Kobo purchase with no issue.

And I've never had issues with returning a Kobo at Chapters - even for color issues. But I've got a good relationship with my stores. Silverty - I wouldn't worry about it. The Libra I got from Chapters / Coles is perfect, unlike some of the ones I've bought at Best Buy. Also the new sleepcover design combined with the recessed screen is nice. I've had issues with the One registering screen touches with the case closed. Plus, the way it folds out of the way is a huge advantage over every other book cover I've had for a Kobo from the Glo onwards. Last edited by Haesslich; 09-25-2019 at 08:16 PM. |

Got my Libra H20 Monday, and like it a lot. There are, however a couple of weird issues. First, when connecting the reader to a Win10 desktop, I sometimes get an error message that there are errors and I should have Windows scan the device. When I do, all is well, saying Windows found no errors :-).
The second issue is that Calibre doesn't recognize this reader in their database. I can still sideload books, but after each one I get the annoying error ms and have to click to close it. Otherwise, its really lite, and allows me to invert the reader so I can use the page up/down buttons on the right. So far so good, and I assume Calibre will offer a plugin or something soon... |

There is an option in the Kobo driver in calibre to ignore the check for unsupported databases.
As I say every time this issue is brought up, if there ever IS going to be an issue it will be posted in these forums. |

Indigo's official return policy is much what you would expect in modern retail.. However, indivdual store managers have been interpreting that *very* loosely... I had one Coles store near me, that was even printing their own little notice slip attached to kobo boxes, advising customers that there was *no* return and any problems would have to call Kobo Customer care. (even though, not only against Indigo policy, but against Canadian law.)
I said no thanks and bought it at Best Buy instead... not worth the fight to try and give me business. |
