It was very nice, today. The high temperature was in the low 80s (F), humidity was very low, we had sun with just a few clouds, and a gentle breeze.

I got caught in the rain, but it was a nice, cool walk to the bus stop--about 8 blocks away from here. I didn't mind too much; I knew it wouldn't last. It's been hot and humid lately... The sun came out of hiding as soon as I arrived at my destination.

When I am downstairs, I keep think I am getting a thunder storm because I am not yet used to the sound of the kittens chasing each other around their room above my head.

Also waiting on the remnants of Dorian to arrive. Working from home tomorrow as it will be the first storm the kittens have had to deal with.

Thunder Cats

Two of my cats love to play tag with each other and they zip around the house at full speed; you don't want to get in their way. I'm sitting peacefully in my recliner reading the news and suddenly the sound of thunder followed by two cats landing hard on the arm of my chair, one after the other, and in a flash, they're gone

Hopefully, Dorian weakens further and takes a more easterly path. Good luck.

I love the sound of cats running around. Ours usually run around in the morning. We regularly have customers look up, shocked, at the sound (besides the regular stairs there is also a 3 step and a 4 step stairs, the love jumping off those with a thud). When you explain that that sound is two playing cats the customers usually laugh.

Good luck tomorrow, hopefully they aren't too scared.

A friend had a single Thunder Cat like that. I may have been in the wrong sofa seat; he ricochetted off my HEAD once. It took me some while to get up the courage to own a cat, after that.

...I can picture that. So far, my head has been spared. Can't say the same for my left arm, which takes a hit every now and then.

Three years ago we rescued two 4 week old babies that someone had left in a cardboard box at the rec center. Now they've both grown to be occasional thunder cats. Especially when they think it would be great fun to chase each other all over the house.

My two (grown) babies thunder through the living room on a nightly basis: doorway to skid around couch to couch arm to top of cat tree -- only one shall win!

As suspected, kitten one is fast asleep. Kitten two does not like wind and rain combination. Chapel Hill fire already has barrels at the entrance to my neighborhood in case Bolin floods...again.
