Oasis 3 2019 compatible sleep covers

Hi all.

I would appreciate any recommendations on sleep covers that you have found work with the Oasis 3 2019. I know its early days but I figure if anyone has found one it'll be in this group. The sleep/wakeup feature does not seem to work from my MOKO cover and I don't want the Amazon cloth cover.

I think the only Oasis covers that will support the sleep/wake are the Amazon ones. I got the leather Amazon cover and it fits and works perfectly.

I've owned many third party covers that supported the sleep/wake feature on a Kindle. The only Amazon cover I bought and kept was the very first Paperwhite cover. Amazon covers are generally high priced.

I've had Moko, Fintie, and other brands. The last Fintie I had cracked at the corners after a month. It had been a gift, and Fintie wouldn't do anything about it. I just bought a $7 Paperwhite cover off of eBay and it works perfectly.

Too expensive for my tastes. I had a Moko on my old one and it worked great. Just does not wake/sleep the new unit.

I would wait a bit for newer covers to be released by third-party. That's what I usually have to do. They rarely seem to come out in much variety right away.

I think that you are right Paperbackstash. I don’t want to spend the amount of money for the Amazon branded cases. A less expensive case would suffice.

I don't like to spend a lot of money on cases either. I enjoy them quite a bit and spend a while deciding on a design, but I tend to fold then when reading and that can make them last a little less. I like the cheap designs with the artwork options and enjoy switching them out. When something happens to the device, such as age or replacement, the expensive cover becomes a moot point as it's stored away, which bugs me. I like the idea of investing the money into a sleeve that you can drop the kindle in, cheap cover and all, at least that way it can work with any future device you own too.

I was able to get my Oasis 2 cover to wake up (and sleep) my Oasis 3. I taped a magnet about 1.5 inches in from the button side on the bottom of the cover (bottom with the buttons on the right)

I tried to attach a picture, but I got an error.

I've been search for the "perfect" magnet to put on the back of my Oasis 3 to duplicate the functionality from my Oasis 2. My preferred cover did not include a full back; rather, it attached to the narrower part of the back magnetically meaning I could quickly pull off the entire cover when I was reading.
