FREE/BARGAIN — Audiobooks

It appears that Chirp Books have added some additional titles to the bargains that they already had on their website. There are well over 100 titles now.

Prices start at 99 cents. Discounts start at or about 90% off.

Being a fictionophobe, I don't have a real good "feel" for the quality of the fiction titles, except for the classics, which are generously interspersed among the other audiobooks. Time and accolades have established them as real winners. The non-fiction titles look great.

Among the audiobooks that I've got my eye on is C. S. Lewis as Philosopher, a collection of essays by several individuals. It's a $10.95 item at Audible; at Chirp, it's currently $4.95. The ebook's got stellar ratings at both Amazon and GoodReads. The audiobook has stellar ratings at Audible.

One nice thing about chirpbooks is that you don't have to go looking all over their website for their sale audiobooks--they have all of them consolidated on their opening webpage.

An alien ship rests over Water Island. For five years the people of the US Virgin Islands have lived with the Ynaa, a race of superadvanced aliens on a research mission they will not fully disclose.   When does my rental period begin?
  
  Your rental timer will begin counting down when you first initiate the download on your device or 10 days after purchase, whichever comes first.

  How long can I listen to a title?
  
  All digital rentals provide a minimum of 30 days to listen to a book from the time you initiate your first download. With some of our longer books, such as Atlas Shrugged (63hrs), we extend the listening period to 60 days. You do have the option of purchasing a 5, 10, or 20 day extension after you have made your rental purchase.

  How many times can I listen to my rental?
  
  You may listen to a rental as many times as you would like until it expires.

  Can I extend my rental time period?
  
  Once you are logged into your Downpour.com account, you can purchase a time extension for any of your previous rentals via THIS link. After clicking “Extend Rental,” you have the option of purchasing a 5-day ($1.95), 10-day ($2.95) or 20-day ($4.95) extension. If your rental has not yet expired, the purchased time will be added onto your rental. (Example: if your rental has one day remaining, and you purchase a five-day extension, you will now have six days total before your rental expires.) If your rental has already expired, the extension will allow you to listen to your book again for the amount of time purchased.

  Can I have the same rental on more than one device?
  
  You may listen to your audiobook rental on as many personal devices as you own. Your rental time will be synced across all devices on which you have installed the Downpour app.

Downpour has a Summer Sale banner promoting up to 70% off but I can't for the life of me find a way to pull up the titles. I've stumbled across a few by looking at some of my favorite authors and genres but I'd like to see them all. Any help would be appreciated.

Since all the sale items (or at least most of them) are published by Blackstone (who own Downpower), I cheat by looking up Blackstone's books on Audible and then looking for the ones I want on Downpour.
