I just picked up a new Echo Show 5 for $1.69 after tax thanks to a bunch of promos, credits, and a trade-in (Dot 2). My actual out of pocket expense was $1.69.

I hope I didn't waste my hard-earned money on this device

I might be wrong but I believe this offer is for a new prime member only. I received this offer when I subscribed to the prime program a few hours ago. The fact that I didn't have Amazon mobile shopping app might also play a part. I can redeem the reward upon a condition that I shop for a product sold by "Amazon.com" through the mobile shopping app.

I see it randomly on different products (and I am not a NEW Prime member; long-time member). A $49.9x Oral-B toothbrush had a $10 "coupon" attached. A $19.99 Oral-B toothbrush had a $5 coupon. A different $19.99 Oral-B toothbrush had none.

I advise you to just click around and look for stuff you actually wanted to buy in the first place!

I am not having any luck getting the smart plug for 4.99. I ordered via alexa as prompted. In the small print it says that the discount will be shown and there in the checkout so I finished checkout with alexa as she offered. She said the $20 discount, but when I checked my order, I was charged teh full 24.99 using mostly my giftcard. No mention anywhere of any $20 off. So I cancelled the order. I just put it in the cart again via Alexa, she said again including the prime discount. This time I checked first and its in the cart still not showing any discount. I don't want to go through with purchase again in case I can't catch the cancel anymore. It often goes fast to processing order. I will not call them so I guess that one is a bust.

One odd item that is heavily discounted today only is the top-of-the-line BioBidet. We were buying this anyway for my disabled brother, but it was nice to spend about $460 (with tax), which is about $50 less than the top one cost 10 years ago. It's normally $700 (without tax). They also have one model that is less expensive discounted today. We had to get one out of necessity, but they are totally worthy! Buying another (the other still works great) due to bro moving to a different floor of house now that he is having trouble with stairs.

I just ordered one too but not as good a deal as you. Now to decide if I need the overpriced plastic stand while it is still on sale!

I'm passing on the stand. Right now the Show 5 is a novelty item that I really didn't need. Hopefully, it'll prove to be useful.

Kind of a nice surprise. I bought an Instant Pot yesterday from Amazon.co.uk for a Prime sale price, after getting 1 month free Prime. Not fantastic, but good price for Europe. Just got an email that the price was reduced a further 10 GBP after my order (that I did not notice) and that the amount will be refunded to my cc.
I do like Amazon.

They didn't have anything that I actually wanted. And that 6% felt like a slap in the face, as I already get 5% with my chase amazon card. So I didn't end up getting anything. I guess my bank account is the only one happy about that
