				Auto-import not working correctly

Auto-import is currently only partially working. I put an eBook in my auto-import folder, which Calibre then moved into the library folder successfully.

However, it did not update the database; I can't see the book in any UI, and the .db file was not modified when the book was moved. When I ran the database check, it listed the file it moved as 'Invalid Title'; How did it auto-import the eBook, move it into the library folder with correct Author subfolder etc, but then complain the title is invalid? I then manually added the eBook from within the library directory (where Calibre moved it initally) and it successfully updated the .db file with it. Why is this different to the auto-import? |

Which Operating system/version? Could you post your Add Books Preferences - 3 screen shots would be best, there's a Manage Attachments button in the Advanced Post screen, below the text area; or use the paper clip icon in the top toolbar. And post the name of the file you put in Autoadd folder. Does the book have DRM protection? Do you use the deDRM or GetFileName plugins? BR |

Run calibre in debug mode (right click the preferences button) and post the debug log after an auto-import fails.

Be SURE you do not have an ACTIVE Sync on the Library folder. This kind of fight (it puts the old DB back), can happen
