Bulk Transfer Ebooks over Wifi to Glo HD?

Hi, the USB connection to my Kobo seems to be broken as per my other thread. I have however managed to connect the content server in Calibre to the browser on the Glo HD and downloaded a couple of books.

Only problem is Im a bit of a hoarder so I have hundreds of books I havent read yet, whats the best way to transfer them wirelessly in bulk to my Glo HD please? I lost my collection to a factory reset when trying to fix the USB problem. |

You can only download one book at a time with the browser AFAIK, but if you are willing to open up your Kobo, you could install a SSH server on it to transfer using SFTP (or transfer the books directly to the SD card).

Thanks, I suppose I could open it and move them to SD that way, is there an ebook folder on the Glos SD card where I specifically drag them to?

Note that you will only see the partition on Windows 10 1703 and higher. If you don't see it, you can use a Linux live USB to do the copying. |

I put my epub collection in the root of the SD card after extracting it and plugging it into a card reader, everything seemed to go okay but when I rebooted the device it just looks empty, am I missing something here? None of the books had DRM or anything, they're just plain epub files from various sources...

Any clue what Im doing wrong? |

@NiLuJe, @davidfor, do you know anything about the way Kobo does imports (I don't have time to check myself right now)? |

I got the same result there but after I removed the USB cable it went to a black screen with Importing Content and a slowly loading bar, after it hit 100% all 700 books showed up in my Library so at least thats sorted. The battery still seems like its on its way out though, charges slowly to 100% over a few hours then drops to 70% when you unplug. Might just be time for a new reader... Thanks for all your help Geek1011. |

Yep, just to confirm that needing an USBMS session (real or faked) is the expected behavior to get brand new content to import, when said content was introduced by non-standard means (i.e., not via on-device USBMS)

.And because it was just mentioned, my set of binaries is available over here .
