Forgot this:

Ea's salmon with fried potatoes and bell pepper sauce

1 person

Ingredients:

One salmon fillet
Potato wedges or cubed potato, fried/baked, home-made or bought.
1 red bell pepper
1/2 onion

Preparation:
Fresh salmon filet, generously dusted with freshly ground pepper. Fried. Served with potato wedges (made from scratch is best) or fried potato cubes. Served with a sauce made from red bell-peppers and a little onion, boiled until tender, pour out boiling water and puree with blender. Add a little water if needed and season with salt and pepper. If any vegetable is needed, broccoli would go well with this.

Oooh -- I love maple syrup, sometimes I even have it with pancakes, though, quite honestly, the only function of pancakes is as a carrier for the maple syrup. It cost £3 to £4 for a small bottle here in the UK so it is a rather expensive addiction.

By the way, can one actually buy 'essence of spruce'?!

See, the thing about Canada is, well, it's sort of America's cork. It smells nice like wine, but it won't get you drunk. And you pick out the bits floating in the glass with your fingernail. Then you tie it to your fishing line as a bobber.
