Simple as hark android tablet. Any suggestions?
So after a while, I noticed that my Kindle Fire Tablet is not responding at all.
I'm considering whether to just buy a kindle ereader or get a decent new one. I really didn't like the lack of options to change the bootloader very much. Any advice on what to get? Thanks lovelies. ![]() |

Are you looking for an eInk reading device or an LCD Android tablet? They are very different requirements.

try a soft reset, and if needed a factory reset, on the Fire tablet before giving up on it
soft reset. hold down power button - ignore prompts - until it shuts down after abotu 30 secs. then power on. that cleans stuff up without deleting any apps or content. factory reset is a seeings option I think a new fire tablet is dirt cheap in amazon sales, about half the price of a paperwhite - depends what you want. |

I agree on the reset. But if you want an equivalent tablet but it's Android not "FireOS", try the new Walmart Onn tablet for $64. I've been happy with it so far and have been a fan of the Fire Tablets since they came out.

good suggestion, but only available in USA though - e.g. I am in UK and I don't think there's anyway I could buy that Walmart one, if I wanted to ? unless W do cheap global shipping ?
