Automatically power OFF

Hello,
What impact on the battery life if "Automatically power Off" is set on "never" instead of 60 mins / 45 mins....
Thanks for your answer

If you use your device daily then 0%
If you use your device monthly then 100%

Kobos (and Kindles) use a very good SoC that can stay suspended for more than three months without a single change.

You can expect a 5-10% of weekly discharge if your device is suspended all the time.

Excellent question. I was just thinking about this; the time it takes boot up is annoying. If you have the cover that puts it to sleep that should help as well with lowering the battery usage.

I'm going to set it to never and see how it goes.

Battery will drain very fast if you leave it on.In other words power state "off" will keep the battery full very very long time.

If you leave your reader for more than 2 days , Setting it to close might be useful.Otherwise If you use it eveyday ,Leaving it on all the time would be faster and efficient to use.

There are two power options, Off and Sleep. Sleep will reduce battery use and start pretty much instantly so my preferred mode. On the Energy saving and privacy setting page, I set power off to never and sleep to 5 minutes and Automatically sleep and wake up to on so it sleeps when I close the sleep cover. I will manually turn power off when I am clearing out the memory cache or storing an ereader for over 2 months.

Newer Kindle's don't turn off. Some people worry about it thinking that the battery charge will last longer if they could turn it off. It might but apparently it's negligible.

Yeah, although they pretend to. There's an option to "off" the screen so it's blank and it stays blank while the battery dies completely. Then when you plug it in (after 2-3 months of never use) the blank screen is replaced with the Battery-Exclamation-Mark screen. 15 minutes later it boots...

I prefer the way Kobo does things, even though I really want a different setting for their power off timer. Power off after 2-3 days and it would be useful. Power off within hours is not useful, so the only valid setting is "Never" and then remember to do it manually.

Maybe you could adapt the "Custom sleep/power off timers" patch? It goes up to 240min/4 hours now, but I don't know whether it would theoretically accept higher values. @Geek1011 or @GeoffR would know, I guess.
