I can't see anything wrong with that. Try doing a manual factory reset. See https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kob...Aura_Edition_2 for instructions.

Or maybe it is the Aura Edition 2, version 2? Externally, they are identical, but the CPU is different. If the 7th digit of the serial number is a 2 you have the second version, otherwise you have the first version.

im not sure my Kobo is v1 or v2, i saw on device: IFETEL RCPKON216-1076 - MODEL: N236. So if it is Aura Edition 2, v2, what should i do now? please help.

Sorry, I can't tell from that which version it is. The serial number is the only way I know of without opening it. You can probably work it out from the mainboard. There could be a model number on it. Or you could find the CPU. That should have labelling, but I don't know what to look for. And of course, when did you buy it? The version 2 was released late 2017 or early 2018. If you bought it before then, it is a v1. If you bought it afterwards, it could be either, but the more recently you did, the more likely it is a version 2.

Sorry, I don't have an image for the Aura H2O Edition 2. I have not seen an image made for one. Plus, it has fixed internal storage, and I do not know of a way to restore an image if the device is not working.
