Sorry, I have no idea why the download link isnt working. This time I have compressed the file in *.tar format (10 mb, 4 parts).

tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
I can see that this time you switched to google drive, there's no problem to upload large files, 100MB or perhaps even more, so you can put the apk directly.

Hi Plusz, So I have no idea why Onedrive blocked the download previously for the *.apk.
So I have uploaded the uncompressed (untampered) files in my google drive, here is what I uploaded:

knote_tar_unsuccesful (these are the files you tried previously and didnt work, so ignore it but I left them in case)
kreader 2_release (this is the folder I extracted with adb procedure you sent me)
kreader2_release.apk (this is the *.apk file which is in the previous folder, and I tried to compress it and didnt work.)

That's a relief. My device powers down randomly after the update. So its good to know that Onyx are working on it. I figured out that if I dont use the Chrome Browser its a lot better, so when I shut the browser down or flip to another site within Chrome Browser it doesnt refresh and leaves an ovelay (not just ghosting).
After I stopped using Chrome, its a lot better. The random shutdowns are less frequent when the battery power is over 60%. I am looking forward to the next update to fix these issues... Thanks for the update!!

I like the Neo reader 3.0. Works well on fw 2.0.1 except there's no handwriting recognition, just I can't find a way to trigger it. I hope Onyx will let the user decide whether the notes correlate to specific pages within a document or to the whole document.

Download the file kreader2-release.apk which @Faeryink shared, copy it to your reader storage, use file manager to install it. It will replace (upgrade) your Neo reader 2.0 to Neo reader 3.0. To have both, install a modded version 2.0 which I shared a few posts earlier. If you won't be happy with 3.0 you can revert it back to 2.0 using android app settings.

I read only pdfs on max. Can't see why wouldn't you be able to open any pdf but if it doesn't work uninstall it. You can use adb to invoke the native android settings app which let's you uninstall Neo Reader (because the boox launcher hide it), or you can use another app to do it, for example ES file explorer, ReLaunchX, etc.

Has the pencil in the note app pressure sensitivity in Onyx Boox? I mean - are the strokes thin or big according to pressure?

Yes. Choose the right tool (icon), one is fixed with pencil, the other is pressure sensitive brush.

PS. as for someone having Max, that's a strange question
